Festivals
Puerto Vallarta is located in the state of Jalisco — the land of tequila and mariachis. Each November, the Fiesta del Mar takes place. This festival includes gourmet cuisine, culture, art, regattas and tennis tournaments. For a couple weeks in early December, visitors can enjoy the Festival of the Virgin of Guadalupe which includes processions with floats, Aztec dancers and mariachi bands, followed by fireworks.
